Camps for High School Boys and Girls
The
Basketball Academy Competition Camp is the first of its kind in the country.
This camp puts emphasis on improving your ability to play one on one, two on
two, three on three, four on four and five on five. This camp is a comprehensive
look at high school and junior high basketball and the self discipline and work
ethic that will be required to maximize the full potential of the athlete
and it will only be met at this Competition Camp. The
camper’s coach will also go over a Steve Mix Evaluation Form on
the last day (12:00pm-1:00pm) that will go into depth regarding the camper’s
Dribbling Strength, Shooting Strength, Passing Strength, and the Individual Strength’s. We
will also bring in an adviser that will go over the NCAA Clearinghouse information
that every camper should know if they expect to play college basketball. As
you can see our staff will challenge the player in every aspect of the game. The
Steve Mix Basketball Academy’s Camps are the standard by which all other camps
are measured. The boys and girls will be separated.

Camps for Fifth and Sixth Grade Boys and Girls
Our skills camp will consist of the area’s most comprehensive curriculum on
the offensive and defensive skills required to address the complete player.
It's innovative and disciplined approach to player development by the academy’s
most competent staff; provide an environment that is capable of accelerating
the growth of the young player. These excellent learning conditions,
due to our low camper-to-coach ratio, provide the player with the opportunity
to develop to his or her full potential.

Instruction and drills will focus on shooting from a stationary position, off
the dribble, and off the pass.
