If you’re looking for a basketball experience that introduces the young player to the skills necessary to be successful, you’ve found it.  The basics are taught in an informative way, yet we make if fun for the campers.  We will lower the baskets if necessary for both groups.

First and Second Grade Boys and Girls July 27th-30th
Monday thru Thursday   9:00am – 10:15am  $60

Third and Fourth Grade Boys/Girls  July 27th-30th
Monday thru Thursday  10:30am – 12:00pm  $70

Post Play
Camp Director Steve Mix – Former NBA ALL-STAR (13 year veteran of the NBA)
Junior High and High School Players Boys and Girls

The big man camp will teach the campers the proper techniques to improve their post skills.  This includes the basics of how to score when running the floor, where and how to post, effective low post moves that will improve their scoring, and the lost art of passing out of the post.  On Thursday we will combine the guards with the post players and work both skills together.

Thursday we will combine the post and perimeter groups at 9:00am - 11:30am
SH School Boys and Girls Camp    June 16th – 18th
Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday 9:00 am-11:30am  $95

This is the first time we have combined these two camps. It will be a great experience for the campers

Point Guard Camp
Camp Director Steve Mix – Former NBA ALL-STAR (13 year veteran of the NBA)
Junior High and High School Players Boys and Girls
This camp will improve the camper’s ball handling skills. The camper will be introduced to the types and reasons for the dribble and the skills necessary for today’s player. The player will be introduced to the explosive moves they must be able to make off the dribble, the baseline V-cut and off the elbows. The campers will learn how to read and react in a pick and roll situation, plus more when we combine the guards with the post players on Thursday. 
We will combine both the point guard and post groups together on Thursday at 9:00am 11:30am

The Player’s Premier Camp will provide the serious player with an experience that will bridge the gap between junior and senior high.  This comprehensive look at high school basketball and the self discipline and work ethic that will be required to maximize the full potential of the athlete will be met only at The Players’ Premier Camps. Our staff will challenge the player in every aspect of the game. The Steve Mix Basketball Academy’s Camps are the standard by which all other camps are measured.

Our prep camps are designed to provide its campers with the knowledge, applications and repetitions to excel at the junior high level. Players today do not fail to maximize their full potential due to a lack of effort; but due to a lack of understanding of the game and what is expected of them in terms of work ethic. Through explanation, repetition and application the player can accelerate their understanding of the game.

Boot Camp

Camps for Eighth, Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors and Senior High Boys and Girls
This camp allows the high school player to compare their skills and assess their needs under these conditions. What a player needs is objective direction and the truth when assessing their skills, along with a work ethic against what will be expected at the next level.  This camp has always gotten rave reviews from the players and parents that have participated and watched.   Conditioned players required.
8th, 9th, 10th, 11th &12th Grade Boys & Girls  June 29 – 7/02 Monday thru Thursday  1:30 pm-3:30 pm  $95

Skills Camp

Our skills camp will consist of the area’s most comprehensive curriculum on the offensive and defensive skills required to address the complete player.  It’s innovative and disciplined approach to player development by the academy’s most competent staff; provide an environment that is capable of accelerating the growth of the young player.  These excellent learning conditions, due to our low camper-to-coach ratio, provide the player with the opportunity to develop to his or her full potential.

Speed And Quickness Camp For Boys and Girls
CAMP DIRECTOR JEFF SEEMAN – MS and PHD in Exercise Science
Camps for Junior High and High School Athletes
The camp will emphasize some of the most important aspects of the game of basketball that is not taught at any level. The camp will highlight first step quickness, lateral agility, flexibility, and the one step and two step vertical jumping improvement. Video analysis will also be made available as well.

The Shooting Segment
The shooting portion of our shooting and ball handling conditioning program includes the fundamental mechanics necessary to become a successful shooter from the block to beyond the three-point line. The teaching staff reviews the mind set, work ethic and discipline required of a player to become a shooter. Instruction and drills will focus on shooting from a stationary position, off the dribble, and off the pass.
The Shooting and Ball Handling Conditioning Segment
This portion of the program will provide the player with the discipline, the intensity, and the repetitions required to improve your offensive skill level.  It is the program that everyone talks about, but few fulfill their potential.
